Earthquake Shutoff Valve Installation
Recently, we completed a seamless earthquake gas shutoff valve installation for a Newport Beach homeowner looking to safeguard their family and property in our earthquake-prone area. W started by inspecting their gas meter setup, selected code-approved Little Firefighter automatic seismic valve (triggered by strong shaking equivalent to magnitude 5+ or sudden line breaks), and installed it on the house side of the line—just downstream of the meter, per SoCalGas rules. We shut off the gas, made cuts and secure fittings with bracing, then performed thorough leak tests and relit any pilots. The entire job took under two hours with minimal disruption to the household. Homeowners love this upgrade because it provides automatic protection that instantly stops gas flow to the entire house to prevent dangerous leaks, fires, or explosions after a quake. This device offers peace of mind while you’re home or away, potentially lowers insurance costs, and ensures your home stays safer in Orange County’s seismic area.

Copper Repipe Replacement With PEX
We completely repiped a 4-unit condo building in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Originally built in the 1980s the old copper pipes had developed tiny pinhole leaks over time. These small holes form because copper can slowly corrode due to factors like the area’s water chemistry, hard water, and normal aging after 40+ years. The leaks were happening under the concrete slab foundation, leading to repeated slab leaks that required digging up floors for emergency fixes. To solve the problem for good, we completely repiped the building by replacing the old copper lines with modern PEX piping (a durable plastic material that’s highly resistant to corrosion and leaks). Instead of keeping pipes buried under the slab where problems kept happening, we rerouted the new PEX lines through walls where possible. This approach avoids future slab digging, improves water flow and pressure, and provides a long-lasting system that should serve the building reliably for decades.

Automatic Water Shutoff Valve Installation
We installed a Flo by Moen automatic water shutoff valve for a homeowner in Irvine, ca. This advanced system offers the best protection against potential water damage. The team got to work, first shutting off the main water. They then relieved the pressure and cut into the main cold water line. This was done just downstream of the existing shutoff and pressure reducing valve. We installed the Moen Flo device, providing leak-proof connection. Once the unit was plugged in and the Wi-Fi connection confirmed, we conducted pressure and flow tests. Following that, we walked the homeowner through the app’s setup, enabling real-time monitoring, automatic leak detection, and remote shutoff functions.

Water Softener Installation
Installed this Fleck 5600 SXT Meter Demand residential whole-house water softener system in a Villa Park, CA home. Villa Park’s tap water is loaded with calcium and magnesium minerals that cause scale buildup. This scale forms inside pipes, reducing water flow and pressure over time while accelerating corrosion and clogs in plumbing fixtures. Appliances such as water heaters and washing machines suffer even more and often fail prematurely without a water softener in place. This system uses ion-exchange technology to remove these hard minerals before they enter a home’s plumbing system.

Garbage Disposal Installation
This recent plumbing project we completed features a professional installation of an InSinkErator Badger Series 1/2 HP garbage disposal, a reliable and popular continuous-feed model perfect for everyday household use. We handled the entire process including removing and disposal of the old unit, applying plumber’s putty to the sink flange for a leak-proof seal, securely mounting the disposal with the quick-lock system, connecting the dishwasher drain line and discharge pipe with proper alignment and clamps to prevent vibrations or leaks, wiring the unit correctly, and testing for quiet operation, no drips, and full functionality.

Bathroom Faucet Installation
This recent faucet installation in Orange, CA features three separate chrome-finished parts: a central arched spout and two mounted lever-style handles for hot and cold water. We ensured perfect alignment, watertight seals with proper gaskets and plumber’s tape, secure connections via flexible supply lines, and leak testing, all while protecting the granite from any damage. No job is too small for us, we specialize in faucet installations and replacements, big or small—and we always recommend hiring a licensed plumber because we’re trained, insured, and bonded to handle hidden issues like water pressure imbalances, corroded shut-off valves, or code compliance, preventing costly leaks, water damage, or even warranty voids that can arise from improper work.

Tank Water Heater Replacement
Replaced an old, failing standard tank water heater in Yorba Linda, CA with this brand new 75 gallon Bradford White gas water heater. This unit was securely strapped to the wall with metal earthquake straps and installed in the garage. It features copper piping for hot and cold water lines, a yellow flexible gas line connected to the control valve at the bottom, an atmospheric metal flue vent exhausting upward, and an expansion tank mounted above to manage thermal expansion. A 75-gallon gas water heater is ideal for larger households with high hot water demand.

Dual Tank Water Softener Installation
Just installed this Fleck twin-tank water softener at a restaurant in Santa Ana. This filtration system provides true 24/7 soft water with no downtime and is ideal for homes and businesses that have high water usage. These are also well suited for installing in larger homes, apartments, hotels, and commercial or office buildings. The digital panel monitors usage, controls regeneration, retains settings during power outages and easily allows adjustments or hardness levels, reserve capacity, regen time and more. This is an outstanding water softener with reliable performance, and long-lasting durability. A great choice for hassle-free water treatment.

Septic Line Repair
We received a call about a clogged septic line connecting a guest house to the main house in Orange Park Acres. The 65 foot line, after some probing, was found to be clear right up to the main house. However, three separate clogs were identified at various cleanout points close to the main house. The first blockage was caused by roots that had grown aggressively, damaging a water softener discharge line before entering the ABS septic pipe. A second obstruction was found and cleared. Then, a third blockage, this one a chunk of wood that had been carelessly tossed into an uncapped cleanout, was also removed. To fix the problems and keep them from coming back, we re-plumbed the system and fixed the water softener line. We installed a proper P-trap to stop sewer gases and roots, and we also put in a new, dedicated cleanout. This should make future access and maintenance much easier.

Copper Pinhole Leak Repair
The “before” image shows a section of copper pipe with an active leak from a tiny pinhole opening. Water is spraying out from the pinhole under pressure, creating a fine mist and wetting the surrounding area. The “after” image shows the same pipe post-repair. We cut the damaged section out and replaced it with a fresh length new copper pipe.
Unfortunately, we repair a lot of pinhole leaks in San Clemente including whole-home repiping projects. Most of the blame has been put on the chloramines in the water and the area’s hard water.

Tankless Water Heater Replacement
Responded to a service call in Temecula to check out a leaking tankless water heater. After a close look, it was clear that the unit could not be fixed because of a lot of internal corrosion and leaks. Took out the broken unit and put in a new high-efficiency Rinnai tankless gas water heater. The system has been tested and is working perfectly, with all hot water restored.
Friendly reminder to perform annual maintenance on your tankless water heater to avoid problems and all too soon early replacement.

Cracked Cast Iron Pipe Repair
When we got to this house in San Juan Capistrano, we saw that a 10-foot section of cast iron drain pipe had cracked. This is a common problem with older cast iron pipes that happens because of age, ground shifting, or corrosion inside the pipe. We took out the broken part and put in new ABS (black plastic) pipe instead. ABS is a lot lighter than cast iron, which is very heavy and breaks easily. It’s also a lot cheaper, easier to cut and fit, and can be joined quickly with simple solvent cement. It’s the standard choice for new installations and repairs of drains, waste, and vents.

Water Softener Replacement
The water softener in this home was beginning to leak and show permanent damage to the resin from sediment. We upgraded the water softener to a brand new unit that is far more efficient resulting in much less water and salt being used. While we were at the home we also replaced four toilets with new high-efficiency toilets with more flushing power.

Tank to Tankless Water Heater Replacement
This old-fashioned tank water heater started to wear out after years of use. It leaked water from the bottom because of corrosion, and it used too much energy, which made utility bills go up. To take it out, they had to drain the tank, disconnect the water and gas lines, and take out the big unit. There were many benefits to replacing it with a gas tankless water heater. For example, it heats water on demand, so you don’t have to store it, it is much more energy efficient, it is small enough to mount on the wall, and it lasts about 20 years compared to the tank’s 10–15 years.
