Top Newport Beach, CA Plumbing Problems

Hard Water Buildup & Mineral Deposits: Newport Beach’s hard water leads to scale buildup and eventually clogs pipes, fixtures and cartridges slowly reducing efficiency until total failure.
Pinhole Leaks: Builds from the 1990s – 2010s used copper pipes until builders ultimately switched to PEX pipes because slowly tiny holes developed in copper leaks causing slow, hidden leaks under slabs or walls.
Slab Leaks: Small earthquakes and shifting soil from the ocean can cause pipes that are buried in concrete slabs to leak.
Saltwater Intrusion: In places like Balboa Peninsula, Balboa Island, and Corona del Mar, very high tides and storms can push saltwater into drains or foundations.
Salt Air Corrosion on Pipes: Coastal air that is salty and humid affects outdoor faucets and plumbing that is exposed to the elements faster than inland areas, especially beachfront homes that get direct salt spray. The humidity makes the problem worse by adding more moisture.
Tree Roots: Thirsty tree varieties, like ficus, eucalyptus, or palms common in Newport Beach have extensive roots that seek out moisture around sewer or water lines finding tiny cracks or joints that eventually break.

Customer Reviews

Liquid Plumbing was great!!! I had a horrible plumbing emergency and our prior plumber quoted us a very high cost to repair. They came highly recommended from a very close friend so I was comfortable from the beginning. I called them after hours. They worked around my schedule to fix the problem and a VERY reasonable cost. They worked in my home for three days. We couldn't have felt more comfortable with them. By the end of the job, they felt like family. Jay and company were just awesome!! We will be calling Liquid Plumbing first for any plumbing issues going forward.

Exceptional service. I had a 9-11AM appointment and the plumber showed up right at 9:00AM. By 10:00AM I had hot water working again in my shower!

I worked with John to replace a tankless water heater for one of my property. He is very professional and very responsive for every phone call and email. The price was reasonable and the best part they are authorized installer of Rinnai. It is a pleasure to work with John, very recommended!
