Crawl Space Floor Support System

Helitech’s

Floor Support System

Tired of bouncy or sagging floors? Helitech’s Crawl Space Support Columns (HSCs) offer a permanent solution to stabilize your floors. Unlike traditional posts, HSCs are cut to fit and feature a heavy-duty, threaded top that securely transfers weight to the column, reinforcing existing beams and joists.

Each HSC rests on a compacted aggregate footing designed to absorb and evenly distribute loads from the support beam to the foundation. With Helitech’s HSC System, you’ll get effective and permanent repair solutions that will withstand the life of your home; this is our Helitech Promise.

Floor Support System Installation

Here’s how Helitech secures your floors with our trusted Floor Support Column System:

  • Create A Solid Foundation: The footing pad area is excavated, and a sturdy base material, either compacted rock or poured concrete, is laid and compacted into the dug holes to create a solid foundation for the support column.
  • Measure and Cut the Column: The high capacity support column is measured and cut to a precise length, specific to your home’s conditions. As a result, NO shims are used.
  • Install the Bearing Plates: Large steel bearing plates are set on the footing pad to transfer the load securely.
  • Attach the Beam Plate The beam plate is attached to the existing or new support beam and bolted into place for a secure connection.
  • Final Adjustments: The floor system load is transferred to the support column and any final adjustments are made and locked down.

After installation, the Helitech Support Column system will provide immediate stabilization to the sagging beams and floor joists in your crawl space.

Helitech Support Columns Are Ideal for Your Home

Floors above crawl spaces are often affected by issues within the crawl space. Damp soil and moisture can weaken the ground around traditional support columns, causing settling and sagging floors. Poor support spacing or damage from moisture, insects, or wood rot in the crawl space can also lead to weakened beams and joists.

Rest assured; the Helitech Crawl Space Support Column System will immediately stabilize the sagging beams and floor joists in your crawl space, protect against the further movement, and ensure long-term structural integrity.

For the long-term success of any support column system, it is important to immediately address any drainage or water issues negatively affecting the crawl space. Helitech addresses moisture issues by recommending a drainage and encapsulation system. This combined approach reduces humidity’s impact.
